CFK Interiors offers full interior design services, from the concept and design phases through purchasing and final installation. The scope of work ranges from the complete interior design of large additions to whole houses or estates, and we often work closely with architects, landscape designers and builders in projects that involve architectural design and construction from the ground-up.
The firm has worked on projects on the East Coast, from Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York City to Florida, as well as across the USA, England and Portugal. We pride ourselves in providing great service and results and do it with the help of a group of trusted vendors, craftsmen and installers.
design process
The design process consists of the following four phases.
THE BRIEF - We start by scheduling a call with potential clients to discuss the project. Next, we will meet in person, and on site if possible, to get to know the clients, their lifestyle, their preferred aesthetic, and their wishes for the project. This will allow us to establish the overall look, feel, and purpose of the project. Ideally, in this initial phase, we also hold a joint meeting with the clients, the project architect, and the builder.
THE DESIGN CONCEPT - At this point, we are ready to create the full design and present it to the clients, aided with drawings, layouts and floor plans, boards, samples and a purchasing schedule covering all items in the presentation. It is important to us that the interiors we propose fit not just the clients’ lifestyle and aesthetic but also their budget.
THE PURCHASING - Once the clients approve the design, we move to the third phase in the process, the detailing and purchasing. We often design custom pieces of furniture (upholstery and case goods) and all the details are finalized at this point. All orders are placed, followed up until they reach a receiver, where they will be checked upon delivery and stored.
THE INSTALLATION - Lastly, and possibly one of the most exciting moments… when the space is ready and all items have been delivered, the initial vision becomes reality - all will be installed by a team of professionals under our supervision and the space will be ready for handover to our clients.
